I had a very similar problem. Does the check engine light come on when you turn the key to ON? Mine didn't, and it ended up being a loose fuse on drivers side kick panel (The Ignition Fuse). Whenever my car doesnt start i just give that a wiggle and it fires right up. I learned almost everything about the efi system until then, so if you have any questions i probably have the answer... including computer stuff if you test that.
