Unless you know a very good deal about working on cars yourself (and I don't mean just filling the washer fluid and changing the oil) OR you have and are willing to spend a lot of money on repairs I would NOT recommend the Supra as a first car.

They're old cars, they tend to have been beaten on by at least one of the previous owners, parts are not cheap, they are a little temperamental.

Now with that said, they're a blast (probably why so many of them are crushed each year after some kid who just got it as his first car wrapped it around a tree; no offense intended, but it's already happened to a couple 'kids' I know of this year). They have a lot of potential, but the demand a good deal of attention and respect.

And a clean Carfax report means NOTHING. My car's report was clean... the car's been in at least two wrecks and one was very severe.... I was fighting with some of the remaining damage today while swapping bumpers actually... I shoulda left the old split one on.
