There's pro's and con's with electrical fan, like what mirage said. Flex-a-lite makes a set up for our MK3 as well as Adrenaline Motorsports. I would suggest upgrading your alternator to a 120Amp or 140Amp which Driftmotion sells. I suggest using a good Fan Controller with a thermostat that you can put into the water neck. I am not a fan of probe type thermostat.

I suggest the 31165-VSC, its a complete package with sensors, fuses, etc.

Another great fan controller.

There is others, you just need to research them. If done right, it will give you no trouble.

I have been using the Flex-a-lite system for 5 years now and it's been great. Car is DD,..... with the PWM controller, the fan is not always on at 100%, depending on the temp, it's running at 25% to 80%. I have yet to see it at 100%. The AC runs colder though........and yes....it's pretty quiet when you start it up in the morning
