I have an 87 na with a blown headgasket. All together headwork and all parts Ill have about 400 in it. Thats a lot less work and money than a swap. Youll need the harness, ecu, aftermarket gauges, the exhaust is diff, drive shaft and transmission is recomended with new clutch cause the other wont stand to the boost very long, pretty much the whole drivetrain needs to be switched. Itll cost a lot and if your block is still good you could get all the miles out of it you can then do the swap when it really does blow. I think I seen a rebuilt head ready to drop on one of the parts for sale pages on here, so if heads cracked which I would let a machine shop check out its like 30 bucks here for a clean and check, then Id just replace and get some more miles out of what youve already paid for. Unless you have the money and can spare the car being down for a while then Id say go get em.
