Thanks, Phil.

Well a TT owner & I were wondering if my MKIII spare would work on his TT.

Now here is some logic for you (fun logic exercise):
If all MKIII & MKIV rims that have the same height (16 in this case) also have the same inside dimensions (meaning the inside wall opposite the traction side) than the following must be true:

1) This spare tire and wheel will fit on a N/A MKIV.
2) If TT MKIV's that come stock with 17" rims can take N/A rims (16"), than this spare from a MKIII will fit.
3) If MKIV TT's have 16" rims for spares, than this MKIII rim will work.
4) If all MKIV's have the same sized spare (assuming that spares would all be 16" because Toyota won't make the "universal" spare a 17 because spares are always smaller), than this will work.

Other things to consider:
MKIV's and MKIII's both have the same bolt pattern (so that is not an issue).
I have seen a MKIV with MKIII sawblades which would be 16x7 (but we can not know if the brakes were stock nor if it was a N/A or TT model).

I used to study tests like that.
So for once, I thought I'd write my own example.
