you can go to your local auto parts store, and get a little module that will hook into your diagnostic connector, and it will start flashing your engine code, it will flash so many times, then pause and then flash so many times again, you wanna count each set of flashes. like if it flashes twice, then pauses then flashes 5 times, then that would be code 25, and you will then be able to look up that code in the book that should come with the module. Or you can find out how to pull codes manually using a jumper wire, this will also make your check engine light flash (displaying your code). The module isn't that expensive and something you can use over and over again, plus you'll get the book with the codes in it. If you opt to do the manual code pulling, and can't find out what the code means, let me know i think i have a book at home.
