im not sure if this will help, but i just did a swap with the automatic trans to the R154 trans off of my turbo parts car to my daily driver n/a car. the drive shaft was about 3 inches shorter on the 154 tranny. the only thing that i had to change was the intermediat shaft, which is the first half of the drive shaft with the yoke that goes into the transmission. then the shaft fit correctly. make sure that the bell housing will match up as well, with the swap that i did, the mounts from the engine to the bell housing were a little different so that two of the bolts would not have lined up. the diff should be fine, but, considering that your car has the lesser tranny, you probably have the open diff, the turbo car, which the 154 probably came off of, has a limited slip diff. Up to you, but i perfer the limited slip. good luck!
