Take the car apart? To an extent, I suppose.
You need to pull up the carpet, but the most of the interior stays in the car, as you need it to work around to know what fits.

Actually you DO weld inside the car. You have to. There's no other way around it.

You build the main hoop outside the car, after taking measurements and plenty of tack-fit-grind-fit-cursing-tack-fit-cut-tack, and the final weld, you can fit the main hoop. Then you measure for the rest of the bars, considering this guy is mainly looking for a 4-pt, it'll just be two arms that'll go through the hatch area and brace onto the floor, so you weld those rearward-facing arms inside the car, because if you were to build it outside the car, you wouldn't be able to fit it all in at once.
There's plenty of tricks and tips that people who've been building these can help with, you can position the main hoop just right so you can weld the pipes 360* around.

There's a bit of work involved, but you should have a bit of work done to the car by the time you think you need a cage, as far as I'm concerned.

weezl: Thanks. That link is in my first post, but I figured noone saw it.
