remove rear 1/4 panel

does anyone know if the rear section of the car ( left and right quarter panel) can be removed? i am sporting a yellow 89 NA and it looks like shit with a hole on the left rear.... the size of a shoe box

any advice would be nice i want my dawg to look nice for once
