Post Found '89 Motor Trend Magazine

I recently found an old 1989 Motor Trend Mag laying on the street (hey, I work in Newark, NJ). I couldn't believe what was on the cover. A top 10 shootout of the fastest cars for that year. Japan was represented by the Nissan 300Z and the Toyota Supra Turbo. The Supra did very respactable across the board. I have a question though. They listed the top speed (Speedo) for the turbo at 146 mph. I have an N/A and I swear I have had it up to 140. Are you telling me a turbo will only give 6 more mph? Anyway, here are some of the numbers for the Supra if anyone is interested: 0 - 60 7.7 sec. (7th place), Qtr Mile - 15.83 sec., Qtr Mile Speed - 88.4 mph, Top Speed 146mph. Other cars in competition were Mecedes 560SEC, BMW M6, Corvette, Ferrari Testarossa, Porsche 928S4, Camaro IROC, Mustang GT, and Firebird GTA. Very interesting article, just thought I'd share.

Sincerley,

James
