Well if you're trying to get something for looks (lower stance) and with some performance use like some track days, as well as "best bang for your buck" then you may want to look into the Megan Track series. I've heard that the street series aren't that good so that's why I went with the Megan Track coils. I believe they run at about $800-900, but luckily I got a barely used set for $500!! IMO they're great for daily, and trust me I live in SF and there's a shit load of potholes and crazy hills. And yes once you switch over to Coilovers you will remove the TEMs at the top of each strut. As for ride height adjustment, the backs max out pretty early with about a 1in gap more or less (my tire setup is at 16x225x45), but the fronts can be slammed pretty good. Regarding your question on aftermarket TEM setups I've only seen people get Tokico Illuminas. Here's one thread. Hope this helps!
