1982 supra 5gme bogging?

i just purchased my first supra and already really like it! its a 1982 toyota supra 5gme 6 cylinder 5-speed. I'm having problems with the engine bogging/choking out? it runs better if i let the car warm up but still not much better. i can't get the car over 2200rpm or else it dies down and i have to maintain that to keep moving. iv done a compression test and it has about 135psi across and all plugs looked the same. i don't know too much about the car but it does has msd ignition wires and newer plugs in it, just put fresh 91 octane and some fuel cleaner to see if it will help. anybody able to help me out?
