I will look at it both ways, probably like you said just pull the pump. since i have removed all of the interior, I can easily pull the wiring harness from the ECU, and pull it through, that was my plan.

Another helpful hint on pulling these engines (if you don't know already), you can remove a panel behind the glove box, unplug the wiring harness from the ecu, push the wiring harness through the firewall, and pull the engine with the harness still attached.
