rust...i must say is a biatch but it happens...when i plan to have the car repainted its gonna be sanded...and teh chassis coated...theres a coating that prevents rust...kind of like an acid dip...i forgot what it is but my friend's dad did it for my friend's gti...ill ask him about it if you want more info on it
