| | Model | Toyota Supra GTtwin Australian turbo dyno run |
| | What things have gone wrong with the car? | Tuned engine and increase in horse power damaged the auto gearbox.
I then replaced it with a six speed short shift gear box with a triple plate kevlar clutch with no problems since.
Also changed head gasket to a TRD type
to allow for the use of full time ave gas use and higher boost from modified turbos. (standard ct12's machined to fit larger compressor and exhaust wheels) 20psi boost,
And a 4inch o/d stainless exhaust to increase flow. |
| | General comments? | Absolutely wicked car got it running 460hp at last Australian turbo dyno . cornering is wicked, pick up very quick.
Took a bit to get it there, but the basis of the set up was already there
thanks to the 1g-GTEU set up from TOYOTA(nice job)
Also I have Australian turbo dyno run a water/alcohol injection system to give better bite on the long races 20km+ to cool combustion temp and stop high boost detonation.
Fitted a range of auto-meter guages and two set's of five point harness in both front seats.
Also fitted a up market fuel pump with independent computer to feed the fuel amount this thirsty raging beast needed to Australian turbo dyno run.
Average running cost $120.00 NZ per week (weekend drive only?)
ALSO OTHER USUAL MODS TO GO FAST!!!
Next mod - NOS!!! and lots of it. |
