Could be a faulty igniter (the GE motor also uses this system) or a fault within the distributor/rotor arm...

Hopefully this link will help with what to look at & where Mr. T has it hidden...

Just a thought, did you reconnect the earth wire...

Just a thought, did you reconnect the earth wire to the coil pack? Not sure if it's the same on N/A but on the turbo the coil pack has a seperate earth wire that needs to be hooked up (it was snapped...
