Default Autocross @ Firebird Feb. 10th.

Anybody tried autocross in you supra?

There is an event at firebird in Phoenix on feb. 10, I think I will go to and see how the car does.

Just wanted to see if anyone here has done it, and what they thought.....

Ray.

Nobody has done this, huh?

I will try to get some pics of the event. Stir up some interest.

Hello, I am new to the forum. I autocrossed this past summer, but it was with my Subaru. We are doing some work on my 1987 supra over this winter and plan to autocross it this upcoming summer. Let me know how your's does, I will be interested to see.

I didn't do very well, but it was a hell of a lot of fun.

The car is much more capable then I am, but that will change the more I do it.

The car did great, I was the reason the times were so slow.

I don't know if I can be competitive with it, but there are other big cars that do it, so there is hope, just have to get a real quick spooling turbo, and a good intercooler.
I'm thinking an air-water intercooler system would work good. Very low pressure drop, and short plumbing make for quick power.

First time I have autocrossed, but hope to be doing it again this weekend.

Gotta love Phoenix, Autcrossing in early Febuary in shorts and a tee shirt with the targa top off!

We won't be starting our autocross season until later in April. I can't wait. But it gives us a little time to get the supra in top shape. I think I'm just as excited to race it for the first time as I am that I will be the only one there with a supra!!

Right now I'm the only one with a supra.
There is a newer celica, and an mr2, but not many toyotas at all.
Lots of miatas, vettes, lotus's, a viper, hell even a bentley!

Are there a lot of Subarus there too?? Those are a big one here also. That is the other car I drive. Lots of fun also. But I must say, I'm getting pretty excited to drive my Supra again. It's been way too long!!
