They're actually the most common on the coasts (East and West) in the more southern regions... I'm surprised that you're having trouble finding a nice one. You should check the classifieds sections of the various supra sites and Craigslist for your state and surrounding areas.

I have looked on craigslist, and they mostly all have rod knock or oil problems, but ill look in the classifieds some more, and see if i find anything this time, and what bout the year, which is the best year?

Keep in mind that fall and winter are the selling seasons for sprots car owners... many sellers decide they're going to hang on to it "for just one more summer" if it's in good shape and fun to drive.

Best year? There isn't any one year which I would say is much better than any other. There wear cosmetic changes to the 1989 model but beyond that the newer the better.

I also recommend against buying a non-turbo if you're planning on adding or swapping in a turbo... It's FAR cheaper to upgrade an already turbo equipped car than it is to turbo and upgrade a non-turbo car.

True, and i was only looking for ones with a turbo, but it seems like all i can find that have low mileage, are n/a, others have leaking head, or rod knock, if i got 1 with either of those how much would it cost to fix if even possible. Also what should i look for when buying an mkIII?

Also on craigslist the best way to look for cars is to go to all of sale section. Then look up just "supra" more will pop up. then when u go to the auto section. For some reason. The FL area has some really nice ones and every little rust also.
