Default clutch pedal sticks

my car currently does not run, its an 88 turbo. when i push the clutch in as to start it, it does not return to the up position. the clutch pedal just sticks to the floor. how should i go about fixing this? low fluid? some sort of spring problem?

I believe that happens when the master and slave cylinders lose all pressure, which means air in the line, you're out of brake fluid, a broken hose or some goose has loosened the bleeder valve. When was the last time you checked your brake fluid level?

He means clutch fluid level. Clutch master cylinder is near the brake master. It uses brake fluid also.

let someone bleed the clutchlines for you and see if it works back that should fix the problem if everything else is allright.
I had the same problem

same thing happened to me. took it to the shop and they said the master cylinder hose was bleeding. replaced it and now it's back up and running.
